The caffeine in the coffee is said to boost your metabolism and fat burning. My method is coffee right before a workout. The only thing I add to it is Splenda (calorie free), if you add a lot of cream and sugar, etc. you won’t reap the benefits. The caffeine also helps with energy levels while training.

Coffee also works as a mild laxative on some people.

both those answers were good – also, it suppresses your appetite

Coffee boosts the metabolism and it gives the consumer energy…to exercise and to fend off hunger. However, nothing beats a good diet plan.

Look: Weight loss is really quite simple; there are only two things you need do to reach your goals:

    1. Restrict daily calories to 1600 calories per day. By increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables you eat, you will be able to keep your intake at this level without feeling hungry or uncomfortable.

    2. Exercise for one hour a day, every single day. It can be anything from pilates to just plain walking, but do it. One hour. Every day.

This is a pretty simple recipe for weight loss, but it works. It has worked for me; I have lost 62 pounds this way. I even lost weight over Thanksgiving. It will work for you if you commit to it and stick to it.

    Good luck!
